Old Granada Studios is a true Manchester landmark; a building brimming with heritage and history, and now reborn as one of the centrepieces of the new St. John’s neighbourhood.
The re-invention of this famous building is creating a place where people come together to live, work, stay and play. It will be a new cultural destination for the city, anchored with an exclusive 200 bed hotel at its heart, alongside contemporary city apartments, bespoke workspaces, event spaces, production and recording studios, and carefully curated bars, cafes and restaurants.
City living: brand new city-centre apartments with stunning views of the city and overlooking the Breeze Gardens and St. John’s Gardens. The new eight storey block will sit atop of the existing Old Granada Studios building and house a range of striking two and three bedroom apartments for contemporary city living in St. John’s.
The hotel: an exclusive 200 bed hotel for those who appreciate style and quality. The chic and elegant rooms feature king size beds and en-suite bathrooms for the ultimate comfort of their visitors, alongside the latest app enabled technology for all the services of a traditional hotel. Every guest will have access to the stunning rooftop pool, bar and private members’ club for everything from coffees to cocktails and brunch to dinner, making each stay a real experience.
Production and recording studios: four independent film and television studios will offer a unique and fully operational location for recording, production and broadcasting. They’re also the perfect place to hold bespoke events, with varying sizes of studio and the ability to transform the spaces in any way your imagination takes you. All the studios are interconnected by the ‘M1 arcade’ to provide break-out and pop-up space.
Bespoke workspace: a thriving workspace community will prosper and grow in Old Granada Studios as it provides the perfect base for all businesses to succeed; from co-working space and small suites to traditional workspaces, Old Granada Studios has it all. The three floors of workspace in the main building will be supported by a community of unique workspace containers at the entrance to the ‘M1 Arcade’ for small creative businesses.
Eat, drink, entertain, relax: Old Granada Studios will become a cultural hub of St. John’s where people, not only visit, but also stay and enjoy the experience. A wealth of leisure and dining spaces will complement the hotel and workspaces throughout the complex, creating independent eclectic spaces where you can grab a coffee, have a bite to eat, or simply a place to sit back and watch the world go by with a cocktail.
